Portfolio
The purpose of this project is to give you the opportunity to reflect on your accomplishments this semester.
You’ll hand in a folder that includes the following work you’ve completed:
1. all drafts of your graded out-of-class writing assignments
2. all of your in-class writing exams
3. three significant listserv contributions
4. all of your math exams
Make sure you attach a 1-2 page, typed, double-spaced cover letter with your portfolio. In the cover letter, you will answer the following questions.
¨ What the progress have you made this semester? (100 points)
¨ What reading and writing assignments left a positive or negative impression on you? Why did the assignments leave a positive or negative impression on you? (100 points)

¨ What was the most difficult math concept you encountered this semester? Which math concept did you struggle to learn but eventually master? (100 points)

¨ What two strategies will you apply to your future college courses? How will you apply them in the future? Why did you choose these two points? (100 points) [Some strategies are listed in course competencies 1 and 4 on page 2 of the syllabus.]

The portfolio will consist of the cover letter and all of your GRADED WRITING ASSIGNMENTS, IN-CLASS PARAGRAPH EXAMS, THREE LISTSERV CONTRIBUTIONS, and MATH EXAMS. Do not include notes, handouts, homework, or the SYLLABUS! Please make sure your name is on your cover letter! Also, place the cover letter and assignments in a folder. Please do not use a three-ring binder. (100 points)
In order for you to receive credit for the course, you must turn in a completed portfolio and cover letter by the deadline. If you have any questions regarding this project, don’t hesitate to discuss them with me.
