Goal: To improve student quantitative literacy
We will achieve this goal in the context
of the freshman health classes through lessons on Survey Design, Graphing,
and Statistics.
Specifically:
How to assess effectively the statistics in current media by developing critical thinking skills with the data.
How
to improve survey designs and graphs.
How
to perform simple statistical analyses. The data used will be on drugs,
alcohol and sexual health for potential adolescent behavior modification.
