Introduction to Social Gerontology

Multi-Culture Issues of Aging

·       What is the greatest number of immigrants over age 65 in our community? How does this compare with a national trend? Document your research.

·       Compare and contrast health care issues around the world with our community. What are the needed services in our community? What are needed worldwide services?

·       Complete a research design and implement a survey of needed resources for the increased immigrant elder population in our community. From your findings, what are the resources most needed? How can they be provided? What are the obstacles to receiving these services?
