Math 91 covers approximately the first half of math 90; linear equations and inequalities, functions and function notation, lines, systems of linear equations, polynomials, relevant applied problems; additionally, incorporates study skills for mathematics. Math 92 covers the second half of math 90; rational expressions and equations, exponential expressions, radical expressions and equations, complex numbers, quadratic equations. Additional topics: introduction to exponential and logarithmic functions.

Math 91/92 is designed for students who would like to study the material at a slower pace, with more emphasis on graphing relevant applications, and in-class assignments. These courses address the needs of students who usually would not be successful in Math 90. Math 91/92 are designed to strengthen math study skills and to support the concepts of algebra with numerous examples of relevant applications. Math 92 will include a few additional topics which are added to the content of this course to ease student transition to college level math. These courses will have a slower pace than math 90 to ensure that even students with symptoms of math anxiety are able to succeed and satisfy the algebra proficiency requirement.
